Link Wray

Twenty years after "Rumble" made him one of the architects of rock guitar, and nearly got him banned from radio, Link Wray was fifty-one, working with a stripped-down trio and recording the kind of raw country-blues he'd retreated into after his commercial peak. He brought that trio, David Weber on drums and Les Lizama on bass, to the Record Plant on September 25, 1974. A date discrepancy from an earlier census pass was resolved during verification: every surviving tape and source confirms 1974, not 1973 as an old notebook entry once suggested.

The row title previously carried 1973-09-25, now corrected to 1974-09-25 to match the audio. Date field and title now agree at 1974-09-25.
