Record Plant Archive

The building at 2200 Bridgeway hosted some of the most significant recording sessions in California rock history. This archive is an attempt to document them — not as a finished catalog, but as a living record that grows as new information surfaces. The entries here draw from session logs, broadcast records, oral histories, and the memories of the people who were in the room.

The broadcast entries document the Live From the Record Plant series on KSAN 95 FM, 1973–1977 — conceived by Tom “Big Daddy” Donahue, Chris Stone, and Gary Kellgren. The KSAN broadcast list derives from Raechel Donahue's notebook, courtesy of Martin Porter.
