Neil Finn

Neil Finn played KFOG at the Record Plant on August 11, 1998, as he was touring his solo debut Try Whistling This. Rosalie Howarth introduced the broadcast and John Grappone hosted it. The recorded program draws on Finn’s solo work and Crowded House material, with an eight-song sequence reported as “Last One Standing,” “King Tide,” “I Got You,” “She Will Have Her Way,” “Sinner,” “Dream Date,” “Try Whistling This,” and “Fall at Your Feet.” Internet Archive preserves the session, shared there by Bob from Almost Portland. The tape documents Finn’s first solo-album tour in KFOG’s studio setting. The available recording holds that eight-song sequence in the station’s broadcast form.
