VERIFIED via primary source: engineer Tom Flye states Sly Stone 'booked a day at the Record Plant in Sausalito, came up from L.A.... rerecorded about 90% of that record and mixed it.' Studio Role: Recorded (re-recorded ~90%) + Mixed. Ownership Era: Record Plant (Sausalito). Earlier tracking was done elsewhere (home studio / L.A.); the Sausalito work was the decisive late re-record and mix in 1973, shortly before the June 30, 1973 Epic release.
