Aretha Franklin

Aretha's 1986 album gave her "I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)," her duet with George Michael and a number one single in the US and the UK. Narada Michael Walden produced six of its nine tracks and worked the Bay Area rooms, The Plant at 2200 Bridgeway among them. The album credits eight studios, from Tarpan in San Rafael to rooms in Los Angeles, New York, and Detroit. The credits never say which song was cut where, so no single track can yet be placed in this building.
