John Fogerty

Centerfield was John Fogerty's first album in nearly a decade, and he made it alone. He played every instrument himself, building the songs part by part at 2200 Bridgeway in July and August 1984. The title track was recorded separately that September. Jeffrey Norman and Mark Slagle engineered. Warner Bros. released the album in January 1985, and it reached number one in the US.
