Jerry Garcia & Merl Saunders

In one week of July 1973, the Jerry Garcia and Merl Saunders band played three Bay Area rooms, and all three were recorded: the Lion's Share in San Anselmo on July 5, the Record Plant on July 8, and the Keystone in Berkeley on July 10 and 11. The Keystone nights became Live at Keystone. The Record Plant set went out over KSAN with Tom Donahue introducing, John Kahn on bass and Bill Vitt on drums. Its "Georgia On My Mind" appears in neither the Lion's Share nor the Keystone releases. The broadcast's "I Second That Emotion" surfaced on Fantasy's Well-Matched compilation in 2006.
