Peter Frampton played the Record Plant on March 24, 1975, eighteen months before Frampton Comes Alive turned him into one of the best-selling live acts in rock history. KSAN had already been playing his records regularly, and Frampton later credited the station with helping break him in San Francisco before he'd broken nationally. The broadcast catches him as a respected journeyman guitarist and former Humble Pie member, still building the solo audience that would explode the following year, just before a major commercial turning point.
